Vogue People, Parties,Places

With holidays right around the corner, gifting is on everyone’s mind. Her are my picks for easy, stylish gifts for the home.COFFEE TABLE BOOKS-I love giving and receiving coffee table books. Vogue’s newest book is People, Parties, Places, which is sure to be a hit with Vogue Readers and anyone who is interested in fashion, style, home decor, travel, etc.. GIVING TIP: Consider the recipient’s interests and hobbies when choosing a suitable book. Taschen and Assouline are great publishers of beautiful books on a variety of topics.

Hermes Throw Blanket

THROW BLANKETS-Throws are another great gift. Of course, it doesn’t need to be Hermes. Some of my other favorites are Missoni for Bold Colors and Stripes, WS Home and Ralph Lauren for wonderfully priced solid cashmere throws, and T-Shirt Wiz James Perse has launched a small home collection with a great bold throw in black and grey stripes. GIVING TIP: If you are unsure about the decor of your recipient’s home stick with a neutral solid-they work anywhere.

Onyx Box

BOXES AND TRAYS: Boxes and Trays work everywhere and come in a multitude of shapes, sizes, materials, and textures. Both corral and organize items that would otherwise have no home. The onyx box is from Jayson Home and Garden, and the tray is from PlantationGIVING TIP: Go a step beyond and create a theme with each box or tray. For boxes, throw in a deck of cards and some poker chips and it’s now a game box, with a tray-add a bottle of wine, 4 wine glasses, and a bottle opener and it becomes an instant bar. The possibilities are endless.
