Friday Favorites-Boho-Luxe

In Barneys, boho chic, Lanvin, Marni, textiles, vogue on March 26, 2010 at 7:45 am

Love Fridays! Here are my favorite picks for this week.

Found this image over at Dress Design Decor. Love the look, love the quote.

These Marni Brooches would add just the right boho-luxe touch to any outfit.

Available at Net A Porter

I love this vignette style by Kim Ficaro. The mix of colors, textures, and objects is so my speed.

These hippie deluxe Macrame Lanvin sandals are so chic.

John Derian‘s Bolivian upholstered Chairs are awesome. So boho, so colorful, so chic.

As seen on Vogue.

Isabel Marant

In boho chic, Isabel Marant, vogue on February 23, 2010 at 8:38 am

Vogue just featured Isabel Marant in the March 2010 issue. I love the way she mixes a fun, flirty feminine style with  edgier pieces and then even adds in some bohemian fringe. It’s a great mash up of looks and she reallly makes it her own.

My Top Ten

In C Magazine, inspiration, J Crew, vogue, wishlist on January 24, 2010 at 5:58 pm

Amanda at Stylish Bird inspired me to come up with my top ten list of things I can’t live without at this very moment-enjoy!

1. Magazines! I love getting my mags in the mail-I learn so much from them and they are a constant source of information.

2. Skinceuticals C & E Ferulic Acid-I take very good care of my skin and this is the number one product I can’t live without.

3. My Missoni throw blanket-My house has been freezing lately and my throw has been keeping me warm. I love the jolt of color it adds to the room also.

4. My Goyard Tote-The best gift I’ve ever received! I use it everyday and pretty much carry my life around in it.

5. My Moroccan Pouf-They may have been played out a bit-but I still love my pouf-it makes me happy. I think it’s a great home accessory.

6. My New Tucker Blouse-I just received it in the mail and I can already tell it will be a closet staple. These blouses can be worn in a zillion ways. The $300 price tag is steep yet well worth the investment.

7. Peonies-the greatest flower for its fullness and vibrancy. One or two stems alone can make any room more cheerful.

8. Madewell’s Skinny Ankle Jeans-I wear mine a size bigger and rolled to get that slouchy boyfriend  look.

9. Coffee Table Books-Vogue-People, Parties, and Places is my most recent addition. I love piles and piles of books.

10. Bonne Bell Gel Bronzer-I have been using this product since high school and I really think it’s the best bronzer. I’ve tried other expensive versions of gel bronzer but I aways come back to this $3.99 gem.

The Home of Judy and Jane Aldridge

Jane wearing the Aldridge Trench as seen in Teen Vogue

Mother and daughter, Judy and Jane Aldridge author very successful blogs.  Judy’s blog is Atlantis Home , and Jane’s wildly popular blog is seaofshoes . Love, love, love Sea of Shoes! They have had a fairy tale year-attending the Crillion Ball in Paris, being featured in Vogue and Teen Vogue, and collaborating with Gryphon to create the Aldridge trench (pictured above). Lucky ladies, indeed! I was browsing Judy’s blog the other day and came across some images of their home. All I can say is that their heightened sense of style is not relegated to only their fashion choices.  Their home is equally stylish, chic, and vintage-just like the outfits they dream up. I would love to see more shots of the Aldridge pad.
